The Old Dutch Church of Sleepy Hollow played a prominent role in Irving's Legend of Sleepy Hollow, has also played a prominent role in the Belyea family. All North American Belyea descendants can trace their lineage back to at least one Belyea ancestor who was a member of this church.
The records contained in these pages are historical matters, and was carefully researched and maticulously reproduced and is faithful to the letter.
