Parakletos

Parakletos is the Koine Greek word that means "one called alongside to help." It is the word Jesus used to describe the Holy Spirit in John 14. Similarly, it has been translated as advocate, advisor, counselor, and helper. Our mission is to be a 'parakletos' to our churches and pastors; teaching, preaching, counseling, advising, and advocating as a partner in ministry to help your church to grow healthy and strong.

Church Prayer Coaching
We offer a partnership with a variety of resources and helps for the local church become a praying church. Pastor Richard W. LaFountain has pastored, nurtured and grown healthy churches over the last 40 year. Now in retirement from full time pastoral ministry he wants to "come alongside" you and your church as an outside voice, a teacher, a trainer, and a helper primarily in the area of motivating a passion for prayer and the presence of God.

Dick has prepared a unique series of messages on prayer and the presence of God that have proven to be not only informational and inspirational but also transformational in motivating believers to learn to pray all over again. This is more than a flash-in-the-pan weekend ministry. This is a ongoing partnership for promoting effective prayer ministries in your church

Dick can dedicate from one to three extended weekends per year in your church to teach, preach, train, and lead prayer efforts. This will serve as a springboard to ignite prayer in your church that will transform your worship into an atmosphere of expectation of God's presence and blessing.

Pastoral Coaching
Dick LaFountain is also conducting intensive pastoral coaching through strategic pastoral retreats three times per year. Dick has trained pastors to be prayer saturated men of God. He is proposing to combine these extended weekends with three 3-day retreats (personal training) for training pastors in a prayer saturated mindset in what he calls PRAYER AND PLANNING RETREATS. He will hone your skills in three areas: 1) Prayer and Ministry Disciplines, 2) Prayerful Strategic Planning, and 3) Prayer-filled Preaching.

Any pastor can enter into this coaching and mentoring relationship for one or all of the retreats and three months of coaching, or spend a full year in the program learning to make prayer the focus of your life and ministry. Learn more about Pastoral Coaching here.
